Visegrad Literary Residencies Launched

June 5th, 2012

The long awaited sub-program of the Visegrad Artist Residency Program targeting writers, poets, journalists and translators was finally launched by the International Visegrad Fund.

Altogether 16 grantees will receive a residency stipend within the Visegrad Literary Residency Program in 2012.

Implemented in cooperation with the Cracow-based Villa Decius Association, the literary residencies will enable selected outstanding writers of fiction and non-fiction, poets and literary translators, essayists, critics and journalists to spend three-month residencies in the following host institutions in the Visegrad Group countries: the Arts Institute in Prague, Petőfi Literary Museum in Budapest, Villa Decius in Cracow or the Centre for Information on Literature in Bratislava.
